I like Nanci's music, but I hate the baby-talk affectation in her voice at times, she doesn't normally speak like that.

When I'm asked to name "perfect albums" at the many forums I visit "Last Of The True Believers" is always one of the first ones I list.

While she is the original recording artist, the subsequent recording and release by Kathy Mattea is much more heart felt…

I've always so loved Nanci. I still have this concert on DVD. Dance a little closer. That's great advice.

I love her stories almost, … almost, as much as the tunes. Love this one.

I just love this song and such great introduction about the Woolworth stores from Nanci which I just loved. Reminds of happy times passed. I felt very sad when the Woolworth Store closed down in Dublin.

Isn't this from her 2nd Austin City Limits appearance? I'm pretty sure this is when I fell in love with her.

The first time I ever heard Nanci Griffith She was so subdued in almost an Irish way, with her frilly socks and her innocent approach to love. She is anything but all of that, but she will send you home with your own shoes. She is and has been for many years here in Austin the Queen of our music rodeo, she has relaxed and is delivering music for the mass again.
