Sublime. Brilliant lyrics sung effortlessly by a great artist! This song could take on the entire current top 40charts and STILL come out on top. ICONIC.

1983 Grammy Awards The Key Nominated

1987 Brit Awards Best British Female Solo Artist Joan Armatrading Nominated

In addition to her music career, in 2001, after five years of studying, Armatrading earned a BA degree in history from the Open University, of which she is now a trustee.[14] Between 2005 and 2010, Armatrading served as president of the Women of the Year Lunches.[50]

Why do people think she is under rated? She didn't release many commercial singles but albums sold well and this track got to number ten in an era where it was a major achievement to break into the top 10

Thinking of my Beloved tonight. We have been apart six months on different continents, due to coronashite. Come home soon, I miss and love you so much, Baby

My beautiful wife and I danced to this song shortly before she was diagnosed with lung cancer.
Listening to it brings tears to my eyes as I hold her photo…

One of the most brilliant musicians we ever had. Have been knowing her from 1976 and in that time I already did all – as an East German girl– to get a disc with her music. Still hear it nearly daily…

This song brings back an abundance of core feelings::Will treasure my dread-of-winter thematic teaching i(The American Dream?) that culminated with Lorraine Hansberry's A Raisin in the Sun. What happens to a dream deferred?
