I bought a Billingham 335 thirty years ago and used it professionally as a news agency photographer all over the world I sold it last year when I retired and it was still in good condition.

I bought the 550 in 1988 then sold it 3 years ago for more than I paid for it in 88. Kept it in great shape and regret selling it now as that bag did some travelling with me as a camera bag and general bag.

I've had mine for nearly thirty years, and now use it for my video kit. Great to see that the company is still going strong.

Quick tip: the (older?) version in the video has press-studs in the top of the 'main section'. Their counterparts are on the inside of the front pocket: open that zipper and press them there instead of folding it over the top.

Totally agree with the 18mm f2 lens for street photography – that on the XT1 (with battery grip) is my setup

ive got this bag and its a beast 😀 it fits a 15" Retina Macbook Retina in you just cant zip the pocket up all the way not a massive issue for me as you can always put the flap over 😀 but over all i love it ive also got the hadley pro neon yellow and that fits the 15" macbook also and my sony a7ii

Beautiful bag but it wouldn't be worth it to me….I use mirrorless (Fuji X-E1) and carry as little as possible….I also want something that a thief would wonder if the only thing it has is old running shoes.I have about five bags including some expensive ones but my favorite bag is a small South African Army surplus messenger bag that I put my own padding etc into…

I got a 335 in 1989 and I'm still using it. I'm a sound recordist for film and TV and it's literally been round the world with me.

A proper review for those of us who use gear for work, not just as a fashion accessory.
