I have an earlier version of the Lomo LC-A that I purchased in 2001; the pre-2006 Russian-built model that still had the aperture lever & (I believe) a better lens. I have had great success with this camera. Pop in a roll of Fuji Reala 100, find some bright lights/colors, & you will get great results. This lens makes those bright colors/lights pop & pulls the contrast. Great for market stalls & neon lights. I love this camera!

The guy looks exactly like the drawn picture on the camera viewfinder!

Odd. The Lomography website says that the LC-A+ has a "solid metal body". Did they change it?

It used to be a spy camera used in the USRR

I have a 1985 LCA (GOST not ISO units lol) and the design hasn't changed much at all.
The remote shutter control and double exposure switch are new, but I had some success with double exposures just playing with the rewind button. The fact that you can manually change the aperture is handy for that.
The back door is a problem for me too- it closes fine- but it doesn't sit flush with the body. No problems with the images though, but I need to replace the light seal.
These cameras are known/notorious for the vignette effect you described because of the lens, but its just perspective on whether its a feature or a bug IMO.
    Good review, nice pics.

Lomographics don't use the viewfinder! I love my LC-A bought in 1995.. ok without doubleexposure… but really good!

I dont understand your review on sharpness when this lens to plastic, shot at 2.8 and the side the guy is standing back, so doesnt DOF play a roll in this or should the guy be sharp?

Scarred I got a used one on eBay said it was in great condition yet the back don’t close and images are ALL blurry and Lomo seems to never restock the Lca+ but I have picked up and moved onto medium formats so there was a lesson in it just skip logography jk 🙉🙈😅

Fine photos. Much more interesting than 'professional' ones.
