First heard this band in 1974 around the time I was turning 11. I couldn't stop listening, I played them over & over ! It didn't occur to me till many years later why I liked Bonn Scott & AC/DC so much.

I bought this in ‘76 after hearing it at a friend’s house. I rushed home, tore off the cellophane and put it on the Hi~Fi turntable spindle and hit play.

Unbeknownst to me, my dad was listening from the next room. During the song Gangbang, he burst into the room, clearly enraged. He stomped to the Hi~Fi, flung open the wood top lid and violently skewed the needle across the album. He ripped the album off the spindle and just like a Looney Tunes strongman, proceeded to bust and crumble it into tiny pieces with his bare hands.

After the shouting stopped, I knew with certainty that this was an album to be cherished. I immediately left the house to buy a fresh LP.

One of the great album releases of the 1970s. Everybody over here had Frampton Comes Alive, Zep IV, Bat Out of Hell, Rumors, etc…but all the really cool kids HAD THIS ALBUM. I had the live release too. Loved Alex.

    SAHB. I lervs em !!!
BEST LIVE rock band I ever saw (Three times with Alex, twice without)
They created a wonderful, nonsensical, tongue in cheek, mish mash of music and theatre. And on top of all that they were a also a VERY seriously tight kick ass rock outfit. I just have to come back for my SAHB fix every now and again …
'I'm sixty now' (amazing to here myself say that sentence) and this whizzes me right back all the way through the decades to my teenage years of the 1970's. GORRA LOVE IT !!!
