The intimacy spoken by Pete that existed between he & Eric Clapton on their experience first witnessing Hendrix was beautiful.

I'm a big The Who fan, but the smashing guitar stunt in my opinion was pretty fucking lame, just being honest. I love Pete Townshend and his music. But what a stupid thing smashing guitars. That turned me off, but the songs and the music kept me as a fan.

Always a man with great anecdotes from a fascinating era. His recollections are always astonishingly precise and philosophical.

Excellent Q/A by one of the quintessential rock songwriters of the 20th century. Townshend, Lennon-McCartney, Jagger-Richards, Ray Davies. The 60's produced amazing talent, the interesting commonality is most of these guys were art college drop-outs.

Last year Police took down a global child abuse ring in which paedophiles in 38 countries gained 'loyalty points' for uploading abuse videos to a dark web website and paid in bitcoin to download others. More than 250,000 horrific videos, stored on a computer server in South Korea and available through a website called 'Welcome To Video', were sold to paedophiles around the world through the dark web, with more than a million clips downloaded. A British man, Dr Matthew Falder, is now serving 25 years in prison for 137 offences linked to the sexual abuse of children. Falder claimed he was doing 'research' into child pornography.

Rolling Stone magazine rock author/critic Dave Marsh wrote in our 10th Anniversary issue, "There's nothing Pete Townshend doesn't know about Rock and Roll." Dave can also be seen commenting in the BBC "Classic Albums" episode on the making of "Who's Next." And, not to be missed: near the end of that episode Pete does a full acoustic solo of "Won't Get Fooled Again." Breathtaking.
