Nice to watch an old video so professionally done! The Olympus camera shown sees to be quite a bit behind the competition at that time. Luckily the went mirror less 🙂 A E-M10 Mark II I own beside a Sony A6300 and a 6D Mark II is a totally different beast in speed and usability and can compete quite well against the above mentioned these days 🙂

Had same problem. I use an external flash now with an infrared focus system. This solved the strobing problem.

… Iam thinking of changing my Olympus for a Canon as in door photography is a nightmare as it struggles to focus it strobes so much that it draws a lot of attention and I hardly get a shot… anybody have any sites or help for getting the best out of this camera before I lose love for it and change it…

@TheJ2K3 install adobe lightroom so you can develop your raw files into jpeg files.. raw files are like digital negatives.. most professional photogs swear by raw format..

@TheJ2K3 ORF files are in the RAW format. Just go to your E520 menu and set it to record JPEG instead of (or as well as) RAW. Meanwhile you can turn your ORF files into JPEGs using software supplied with the camera.

Hi I am trying to work out the manual focus part of the video where you explain the grid and zooming into point of interest. You say press the button again but you don't say which button. Plus on my E520 I don't seem to be able to get the grid over the complete screen.

@YaDunn0 I haven't used the 35mm macro, but I know the 50mm is very good indeed. Feel free to ask in the Olympus section of the cameralabs .l com. PS – Don't forget you can support me by shopping for anything at the partner stores page at cameralabs . com – thanks!
