I’d be thrilled if I could get a few people to question that idea. But of all the well-developed characters in the Lord of the Rings, my personal favorite has to be Gollum. They fear their own performance will not live up to the fantasies.
You can’t be a stalker or an annoying jerk if you want to win back the love you have lost. It takes work, maybe you have to change your personality and not be such a tool, as rude and apparently self-centered people can appear to be.
The remakes keep on coming with No. 9 and Quarantine (with $31.7 million) which is almost a shot for shot remake of its predecessor REC (2007), but luckily American audiences weren’t able to see that film until Quarantine made it to DVD which translated into success for this low budget film.
Some of the players who fell out of my overall top-10 last year are Adrian Peterson, LaDainian Tomlinson, and Clinton Portis. However it shouldn’t be long before they return.
New England Quarterback Tom Brady is third on my list, averaging 20.68 fantasy points in 35 selections. Brady was my top player selection in 2007. In 16 selections he averaged 25.56 fantasy points per game. He threw for 50 TDs and 4,806 yards last year.
Antawn Jamison – (21.4 pts, 10.5 reb, 1.5 ast, 1.5 stl) – Antawn knocks AK-47 off of the list and jumps Shawn Marion in this edition of the power rankings. He has seriously stepped up his game since Gilbert Arenas went down with the injury. The assists may not be there because he feels the need to make up for the loss in scoring caused by Arenas’s absence, but with 10.5 rebounds, he is an incredible bonus at the small forward position. Expect Jamison to continue scoring like this until Gilbert is back in the line up.
At No. 5 is the surprise entry of M. Night Shyamalan’s The Happening (with $64.5 million). Even being his first Rated-R film audiences were just curious about this nature gone amok film. Most genre enthusiasts were enamored more with Larry Fessenden’s similarly themed The Last Winter (2006) than Shyamalan’s over bloated misstep. It was an expensive misfire that even many of his fans didn’t bother with.
At No. 14 is The X-Files: I Want to Believe (with $21 million) which had a hard time finding its audience as it was released during the summer instead of being held back for a Fall release. This franchise was long dead before this film was unearthed and only the die-hard fans bothered to show up.
Shawn Marion – (16.3 pts, 10.8 reb, 1.7 ast, 2.3 stl) – The leveling off in points coupled with drops in steals and rebounds have Shawn Marion barely hanging on to the small forward fantasy rankings. Despite that, he still manages to feel the stat sheet up nicely, and he is about as sure as thing as there comes to getting a double-double from the small forward position. Assuming the dip in rebounds is only temporary, Shawn will be able to rise back up towards the top of the list. Until then, he holds down the fifth spot for right now.
Moss hauled in 98 catches in 2007 for 1,493 yards and 23 TDs. The Lord of the rings is an epic fantasy tale, originally written between 1937 and 1949 by J. We all strive to become what “they” are and what we are not.
