This month, RITUAL looks to the west with a Wild Wild West theme. A rarely done theme in the underground club scene, even the most hard core clubbers are asking themselves, “What am I going to wear?” The theme is fun, exciting and fresh, and it is sure to be a wild, wild time!
Most new entrepreneurs don not understand the power of this kind of mastermind group. It is why more than 97% of new entrepreneurs fail, they have no one to turn to who understands what you are experiencing and have been where you are. Regardless of what Simon and Garfunkel say in their song, no one is an island and you need to connect with other leaders so you, as a group, can lift one another in tough times and celebrate with each other during the successes.
Some of the players who fell out of my overall top-10 last year are Adrian Peterson, LaDainian Tomlinson, and Clinton Portis. However it shouldn’t be long before they return.
The Lord of the rings is an epic fantasy tale, originally written between 1937 and 1949 by J. R. R. Tolkein. The tale was recently brought to the silver screen under the brilliant direction of Peter Jackson and the story was given a new life, a new depth, and reached an entirely new generation of dreamers. While the Lord of the Rings is a fantasy, the themes and issues it deals with are very much relevant in modern society. The characters in the story each represent a very distinct facet of human nature. Frodo was the dreamer, Sam was faith and strength, and Gandalf was knowledge and wisdom. But of all the well-developed characters in the Lord of the Rings, my personal favorite has to be Gollum.
Samuel Dalembert will likely begin the season as the team’s starting center, but his prospects for ending it as such aren’t as locked in. The Kings will want to get their trio of young bigs – Cousins, Hassan Whiteside and Jason Thompson – on the court. When Dalembert gets minutes, he should contribute – 8 and 10 with two blocks makes him a solid No. 2 center early in the season. But he may be a great “sell-high” candidate, as the Kings will likely turn to the youth to end the season.
The gorgeous Anne Francis plays Altaira Morbius fine but due to her character’s isolation, her lack of emotion is understandable (not unlike the character Weena in The Time Machine – 1960). But, in my opinion, other than Robby, Walter Pidgeon ABSOLUTELY steals the screen with his performance as the cult icon Dr. Edward Morbius! His script, clothes, appearance, presence and voice are all better than the rest of the cast. At 59, he’s the oldest cast member here. He’s another reason for the film’s success.
The best effect is Robby the Robot!! This is the first film (for which he was created) to show the iconic Robby the Robot which has since been seen in many different places such as movies, TV shows, guest appearances and more! This has to be one of the few “props” to have taken on the same cult status as actors. How cool is that?!
