I also have the connection issue when the wifi/power goes out. After a week after purchase, the camera picture turned purple/pink. I put it in ir mode and it went back to normal but after another week it did it again so now I just leave in ir mode. And I also have a ton of murkery products and after the doorbell, when I open the app and watch the camera, my volume shut off and basically puts my phone on silent and I have to reset my phone in order for it to work again. Good app and product, just need updated. I would rate the doorbell 2/5 stars. Don't buy unless u get a good deal!!!!! Amazing video btw. I have a 64gb SanDisk class 10 a1 memory card. Records over a week

Thanks for the review. I got this bell as openbox item after seeing your review for $23 on eBay. It is working very well. Video is very good 1080p. I thought it was running hot so I opened it and stuck an aluminum strip on the CPU which had heatsink pad but no heatsink. I am wondering if the factory forgot to put the heatsink. I put the chime adapter that comes with this on my chime (mechanical) and I have a 16 V 10 VA transformer. The only issue now is that I don't get press notifications when app is not running or in background.
Can this be installed on a door where there is no existing Doorbell and can it work as a standalone device?
